March 2020 saw the start of many changes for most of us. The business I work for was required to be closed for 52 days at the exact same time I was going through diagnosis for a liver that was found to be damaged. For fun medical reading, please feel free to check out my blog https://itsokaytosecondguessdoctors.info/ to read about my struggle and search to find out what was ailing my liver. In short, it was found out that I had contracted Alpha Gal Syndrome after a tick bite, but since the diagnosis took so long to occur I had developed MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome), all of which had wrecked havoc on my liver over the years.
With all my sudden free time I had to find some way to channel all my new found stress and anguish over going through many medical tests to try to find out was wrong with my liver. I reasoned this was the perfect time to work on uploading my favourite photos, which also helped to calm my mind and body from all the medical procedures I was undergoing. Looking back through my photos gave me such a feeling of comfort and happiness I reasoned that hopefully others might share in the same emotions if I were to share my photos publicly. Hence the birth of Eye Shutter Prints.
Prior to 2020 I was fortunate enough to be a little bit of a traveler. During my voyages I would take it upon myself to take photographs of my travel destinations. My goal was always to take photos from the perspective of giving the subject being photographed dimension and attention as opposed to taking photos just to remember I had visited a specific location. In doing so I tried to capture things such as the texture of the subject, I tried to nod to its history, etc. Trying to let the photo tell the story of the subject itself was important to me.
Hopefully in purchasing prints from this site not only will you be supporting a small business, you'll be the owner of a print that you'll be proud to display where ever/however you chose so that you can imagine smelling, touching or being at the site of the photograph itself whenever your heart desires.
Thank you for your support ❤
